Wow! The dust has finally settled from our full blown interactive spectacle at Tent London during London Design Festival. This year we really went for it. We partnered with the event organisers to offer an interaction service across the whole event. The Hacked logo above pointed to the Tent home/news page, whilst the totem signage below was used around the event to direct people to the special exhibits. We had great feedback on the interaction and the concept to shift to a more aesthetic, elegant solution from the generic QR Code.
We also committed to providing a stand that was engaging to the Tent visitors. We operated on two levels, with a more straight forward introduction and demonstration, talking people through the concept and teaching them how to do it and we also had more in depth demonstrations from artists, craftspeople and illustrators who helped to explain just how far the artcode can be pushed in its visual identity. The Impact was amazing, visitors were really drawn to the more crafted stuff.
The bags were amazingly popular, we had no qualm in claiming they were the most sort after accessory in the whole of LDF. After all its not often you get to print your own gift, that also has an embedded artcode interaction. Sure to be collectors items!
We got some great artcode illustrations in the process. Its really interesting to watch the visitors understanding develop, first stage is curiosity “are you sure you can teach me?”, then intrigue “no it can’t really do that…” to “wow, we could do anything…”
So, It was a brilliant event, it got a lot of people interested and has resulted in some exciting conversations about future collaborations and applications… watch this space.
Finally check out the explosion of colour and that was our Stand, I am not sure what are neighbours thought, we set out not to be too cool for school so we stuck out a bit, ok, a lot!
